MILLI WILTON
01 About
Milli is an emerging creative and designer of theatre and studio spaces, currently based in Gloucestershire. She trained in Drama and Performance at the University of Worcester, receiving a BA First Class degree.
Milli has worked in backstage theatre in a variety of roles at the Royal Opera House, National Theatre, Everyman Theatre and Birmingham Hippodrome. Alongside working as a freelance AV Technician/ Video Engineer in events for Production AV (d&b solutions Ltd).

Recent backstage work: Prop Maker for Aladdin Pantomime (2024), Wardrobe Assistant on the Hairspray UK Tour (2024), Deputy Head of Wardrobe on The Full Monty UK Tour (March-April 2024).

Recent designs include: Theban Island (Concept Design), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Jenny Wren Productions), Alice In Wonderland (Tread The Boards) and La bohème (University of Worcester).

Recent work placement/courses: Scenic Painter course of Basic Skills (DAP Studio - James Rowse), Workshop and Studio placement at PropWorks, Scenic Art Work Placement at the National Theatre, London.

Milli has just graduated from the Theatre and Performance course here at Worcester and performed exceptionally well. Most notably, Milli opted to focus her studies on the scenographic and technical pathways within the course and excelled at every point. Together with a fantastic work ethic, Milli demonstrated a pronounced aptitude for designing and making for Theatre and Performance and created a set designs and props for a range of productions during her time here. Milli's practice and studies have developed a now ken desire to discover more about scenography and an enthusiasm to develop her talents in the art

Examples of work
A condensed summary of projects and productions that Milli has collaborated on and contributed to. Mainly through scenic painting, set construction, set design and prop making. It is also noting that Milli is very conscious of recycling, reusing and remaking set/props, as she works with materials that have already been used. It is a main principle within her work that things can be reused and as cost-effective to the productions/projects.
03 Portfolio
This portfolio consists of adapted projects and highlights the progressive skills that have and are being developed, through a variety of opportunities. From these experiences she is passionate about emulating the production's concept, through creating viscerally atmospheric spaces that aim to enhance the performer's freedom within the space. Along with striving to encapsulate the collaborative ideas of the company and to produce a unified design. Milli is trained in model set boxes and SketchUp, with some experience of full-scale set construction, puppet-making, props and scenic art.
